Guided Lessons:

After school we provide 1 -2 hours of guided instruction tailored to the content of the school curriculum. Our goal is to pre-teach many of the concepts and much of the vocabulary that the students will need for their classes at school.

So for example, we find out what the major themes are for their grade and we find suitable (often making them ourselves) materials for those topics. In the Canadian school systems so common themes at the elementary school level are food chains and webs, the solar system, and animal habitats.
