Mountain Biking

We are very fortunate to live two minutes away from an extensive set of biking and walking trails in the Beaver Lodge Lands. We make regular trips to the lands for biking or walking whenever we feel like we need some exercise and fresh air.

We have all the biking equipment at our house including safety helmets for the kids.

The Beaver Lodge Lands along with much of the forest area on Vancouver Island is temperate rain forest. Kids can experience lush vegetation with a great variety of animals, insects, mushrooms, ferns, and trees.

In the summer of 2005, we even taught one student, Joo Young, how to ride a bike. She had never ridden a bike before!
