Stargazing
As part of our hands-on approach to learning, we frequently take out the telescope and observe the stars. During the summer camp and, even, during the regular school semester on hot nights in May and June, we sleep under the stars on the porch at the back of our house with the sky open to us.
During the school year or the summer camp, the kids will see the rings of Saturn, the moons of Jupiter, craters on the moon, shooting stars, Aurora Borealis, satellites, and nebulae. They will be able to look at the night sky and identify the various constellations throughout the year. |
